The Planned Giving Council of Greater Memphis is a professional association for people whose work includes developing, marketing and administering charitable planned gifts. Our members include estate planning and tax attorneys, accountants, bank trust officers, financial advisors, consultants, and representatives of non-profit organizations and institutions.

We are a non-profit organization and we are affiliated with the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and ascribe to its Code of Ethics. We extend our condolences to the family of a long-time
member of the Planned Giving Council, James Daniel Glisson.

James D. Glisson, Road Warrior, going the distance for the St. Jude Kids, died June 29, 2016, from ALS. Jim was a veteran who started his young life off in the Air Force. His thirty years of teaching at Raleigh Egypt and eighteen years raising money for St. Jude gave him a rewarding life for 73 years. Jim is survived by his wife, two brothers, and two sisters. He was preceded in death by two sisters.

We appreciate his service to our community and his longstanding commitment to the Planned Giving Council.
